Petroworks has solved this problem with our Sidekick/Tracker Power Steering Kit. This kit allows for the installation of a Sidekick/Tracker 1.6 motor Power Steering Setup.
This kit will work on 1.6 8v and 1.6 16v motors without AC.
The Petroworks kit is the only kit on the market to include our own WEDGE Bracket to mount the Sidekick Gear Box onto the Samurai frame in perfect alignment so that there are no bends in the steering shaft. We can also modify your Samurai steering shaft with your Sidekick/Tracker Steering shaft to eliminate the Rag joint.
The Power Steering Pump bracket mounts on all 3 motor combinations.
This system will not work with AC systems.
On the 1.6 motors Petroworks can assist you with converting your R12 to R134 System and modifying the OEM 1.6 Brackets to allow both pumps to work. See USTR/SK-0135 for more information.
